Welcome to Rabbi David Soloff's Page

A very fun way to both help support camper scholarships and enjoy running with friends is to participate in the Erev Succouth Chicago Half Marathon/ 5k run on September 23, 2018. For the first time Ramah is entering an official Ramah cohort. We are encouraging as many runners as possible to participate in either race.

I am personally asking for your support for scholarships for campers to attend CRW and the RDC.

Some background- I took up running only about 8 years ago .I have met some wonderful fellow runners, explored some exciting trails, and felt the benefits of the physical training. A few summers ago I joined fellow alumnus Dr. Michael Steuer for a run to camp from Eagle River- starting at the junction of Rt 45 and Country G- running through the Deep Lake trail to Hunter Road and back to camp.

During the year I try to run 5-6 miles on Sunday and then 3-4 twice a week. I use the run/ walk method and enjoy reading the Jeff Galloway books that describe this approach. This will be my first Half marathon and I have begun training for it.My training runs are now up to 12 miles and on target. My running goal is to have fun, finish the run, and support camp. Please support me and camp in this effort.

- David
